Based in Washington, DC, the Embassy of Greece, Cultural Program's mandate is to cultivate, promote and strengthen Greece's bilateral and multilateral cultural and educational relations. To this aim, a series of programs with artistic and cultural activities has been presented since the beginning of 2004. Among these activities are exhibitions, lectures, music, theater, lectures, dance, performances and exchanges with academic, art and cultural institutions.

The main goal of these events is to present a diachronic cross-cultural dialogue that started since 2.500 years ago and continues to reach out and interact with broad and diverse audiences. With our programs, we seek to present Greece's culture and cultural products to the United States, to strengthen old ties and develop new partnerships.

Active audience participation and continuous support is of great essence to help organize, implement and expand a high quality, innovative programming. You may subscribe to our list serve and contribute to our programs in various ways: By sponsoring, co-sponsoring events of mutual interest, by interning, volunteering and sharing information on our programs with other interested parties. We are open for suggestions and constructive comments to further improving and developing our programs.
